As Basic As It Gets

Literally this is has come down to hard work and dedication,
when doing makeup, you have to have a clean face to work with. Just
like when artist paint they, have a blank canvas. My best friend told me that
makeup is a form of art also. I treat makeup as a form of art and I take it very seriously. You have to clean your face, if you don't your makeup will not look good at all. It will look dead and dry. Trust me I've been there and done that. Don't want to go back. i feel as if this blog is for me and everyone else. This helps me realize what I really want to be in life and to accomplish, I really hope that if your reading this right now that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. Like with me and this blog it might not be a challenge for other people but it is for me and I love showing you guys what type of makeup is great and which isn't thanks for reading see you soon! I don't want you guys to give up, it takes plenty of time do actually get good!
I have faith in all of you, my mom was the first person to teach me about makeup...so technically i have been practicing since '07! YouTube is a big help and if that doesn't work go to your nearest makeup store they should be able to help you! STAY HAPPY! You will learn how to make yourself and others look FLAWLESS!

Another Great Moisturizing Gel! (MUST GET)

Moisturizer

love this Clinique moisturizing gel! It sinks into my skin within seconds and leaves my face feeling SO soft and nourished.

If you have combination to oily skin, this would be perfect for you. There is a lotion available too, but I find it a bit too greasy to work with.

I have bought bottles of this moisturizer, and sometimes I will experiment with another cream for a few weeks, but I always end up returning to this, subsequently falling in love with it YET again :)

you can just google Clinique Moisturizing Gel and it should pop up in eBay's ads

eyebrows again (how to)

found this on Pintrest, I guess you can call this a quick go to!

Eyeliner Video

For Beginners who really don't know where to start, this is a great video that I found good luck making your eyes FLAWLESS!

Favorite Fragrances: Guest Post: Alanna Paget

Hello ladies,

My name is Alanna Paget and I have a passion for fashion. Anything from clothing, to shoes, make-up, jewelry, and fragrances. I really just love beauty in general. Being a woman is hard and keeping up with nice scents can be difficult at times. Finding something you like and something that compliments you is also hard.

I think it is important for a woman to find a fragrance that they love and can potentially become your "signature fragrance." Today, I would like to share a couple of my favorite scents with you guys!

My number one perfume is called Chance by Chanel. You can buy this perfume at stores like Ulta, Macy's, Nordstrom, and several other department stores. Chance is a clean, strong smell, that will last with you all day. Ladies, I promise I receive praises after just spraying myself twice with Chance. You should try it out and see if it works for you.

Another one of my favorites is Narciso Rodriguez. This perfume is a bit sweeter but also sticks with you for a long time. I like this as an everyday type of fragrance. It is a bit flowery and comes in a black bottle with light pink letters. It is a very refreshing scent.

Lastly, my other recent favorite is called Issey Miyake's l'eau D'issey. I was able to receive a free sample from a sales associate at Macy's. This is also floral and sweet.

You should try these three little fragrances out, I promise you will at least love one of them.
Bonita is a great lady and I hope you guys have enjoyed this post.

XO,
Alanna Paget

Night Out

Chantel

How To Achieve This Look:

Naked Palette 2 (Second,Second to Last Eyeshadow)
Brown Eyebrow Pencil (To Match her hair)
       Cream Eyeliner (Maybelline)

Go with the flow of your natural eye, (to learn YouTube your eyeshape)
With rounder eyes don't do the eyeliner so thick so it doesn't look like you have a bigger eye.

Learning how to do your eyebrows takes a while, so practice practice

Mascara is up to you if you want to use it or not, but most people do.

Its a beautiful face I think you guys can try it.

New Concealer Palette

     Concealer and Highlighter

You can pretty much use this anyway you want to! There's plenty of YouTube videos on this palette. This is pretty much a review I just purchased this product. You can use this on any skin tone, but for contouring you use the darker colors for your cheeks and top of the forehead and the lighter colors is more for the T-zone and eyes and chin...
The really light light colors is for spots and to correct them.

Gothic Makeup

Makeup is different for everyone, not everyone likes to be as bold as I can be. So sometimes you have to down play it like I did here in this next face. Casey is her name and shes very sassy and outgoing but she feels that makeup isn't the key to everything, until she met me and I showed her how to contour and highlight her face, to where she still looks like the same person. She just wanted something basic and that is what I gave her, plus some nice looking eyelashes to make her eyes pop since she was a really pale person. She has never done her eyebrows until today! I taught her how to do eyeliner also. See makeup just enhances beauty, everyone is already wonderful. Hope you enjoy...if you would like a tutorial to this comment below and ask! Thanks, MUAHH BONITA

WHATTTT CC CREAM!?

Mac Color Correcting Cream (CC Cream). This cream corrects the skin pigments on your skin. Personally I've used this cream and it has done wonders on my skin. The thing about creams, foundation, and concealers. You definitely need to get really good ones. If you get cheap makeup it won't look nice and clean like you want it. Most Mac products are expensive, but if you online shop its much cheaper. If you would like to purchase this at MAC Store online.

Right Shade

HOW TO PICK THE RIGHT SHADE OF FOUNDATION

This seems to be really hard for people, because they don't know what kind of pigment is in there skin or don't know there colors at all.

There's three different pigments in foundation
1. Pink
2. Brown
3. Yellow

When picking out foundation it, really is common sense. Most people put way to much thought into it! Or usually don't try to match and buy the product anyway thinking that it will match because they see it with there eyes.

Places where to test the match
1. on the back of the hand
2. bottom of the jaw
3. top of forehead

For African American People
there usually on the dark side so they're going to look for foundations with more of the brown pigment, unless they are lighter and then they will look for more on the yellow side of the pigment

For Caucasian People
It's mostly if you're light you want more pink pigment and if you're dark you want more of a brown pigment

Eyebrows

EYEBROWS

When doing your eyebrows you always want to get the shade of the same color of your eyebrows. Most people are dark brown or black

1. When your using a pencil you want to line the pencil up with your nose and eyebrow

2. You never want to have your eyebrows too thick, that will just make them look un natural

3. Just line them up and follow your natural brow line!

4. This is what filling them in means, just like it says filling in brows

Contouring Faces

CONTOURING FACES!

When contouring a face you want to first look at what shape the face is!
1. Most peoples faces are round and very oily.
2. Where you want to put the light highlighter stick is the T-zone (forehead)
3. To make a face seem smaller use the dark part of the highlighter stick to slim it out like in the picture.
4. when highlighting you can pretty much do anything you want

Highlighting sticks aren't hard to find! They're called highlighting/contouring sticks.

YOU CAN FIND THEM AT WALMART

4. it makes your face feel fresh without drying it out, and gets rid of the pimples before they even surface

    * On a Caucasian person you want to use darker colors, for a better look                * On a African American person you want to use lighter colors
                                                                for a better look.

                                - You can literally find a nude palette anywhere

ONE TYPE FITS ALL!

No matter what type of face you have you can couture any face! For most faces your going to highlight the cheeks and darken the chin and part of the T-zone. When you couture, it's most of the the darken parts, are for the imperfections in the face, like for a square face you want to have the darker parts around the chin, and the heart shaped is more around the cheeks. It varies but try to work it out.
